Sillview is an independent data intelligence service operated by Tabatha Research LLC. We analyze New York City public records and deliver building-level distress assessments to subscribers. We are not affiliated with the City of New York, the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the Department of Buildings, or any other government agency.
All information in our reports comes from publicly available sources, including NYC Open Data datasets maintained by HPD, DOB, DOF, ACRIS, ECB/OATH, and 311 Services. We do not create, verify, or modify government records. We retrieve, cross-reference, and structure them into scored assessments.
Public data is updated on government schedules that we do not control. A violation that appears in our report may have been resolved. A complaint filed yesterday may not appear for 24 to 72 hours. We refresh data regularly, but we cannot guarantee that any report reflects conditions at the current moment.
Distress scores are derived from a weighted model combining multiple public data signals. Scores are analytical assessments, not statements of fact. A high distress score does not mean a building will be sold, is for sale, or that the owner is willing to sell. A low score does not guarantee a building is well-maintained.
Sillview reports are for informational purposes only. They are not legal documents, do not constitute professional advice of any kind (legal, financial, or otherwise), and should not be used as the sole basis for any investment, enforcement, or legal decision. Consult appropriate professionals before acting on any information we provide.
When you sign up, you provide an email address. We use that information to deliver reports and product updates. We do not sell your email address. We do not share it with third parties except as necessary to deliver the service (for example, email delivery providers).
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We will stop immediately.
You may use Sillview data for research, analysis, investment decisions, enforcement prioritization, journalism, or advocacy. You may not resell, redistribute, or republish our scored assessments or reports in bulk without written permission. Quoting or referencing individual data points with attribution is permitted.
You may not use automated means to scrape, harvest, or systematically download data from our service beyond what is provided through authorized access.
Sillview is provided as-is. We make no guarantee that the service will be available at any given time, that reports will be delivered on schedule, or that the data will be accurate or complete. We are not responsible for decisions made based on information in our reports.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sillview, Tabatha Research LLC, and its operators shall not be liable for any damages (direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential) arising from your use of this service or reliance on any information it provides.
If we make material changes to these terms, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
